Babymoon

On July 29th, Justin and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary. In some ways it seems like we just got married; we remember our wedding so well. In other ways it seems like we've been married longer. We've done so much in our 4 years: bought our first house, established our careers, traveled to Europe and Mexico and made some amazing friends. Our favorite achievement is our baby boy. To celebrate all of this we decided to go to our favorite honeymoon spot, Maui, Hawaii. Justin happened to earn a trip through work (way to go J!). It was a perfect opportunity to take a "babymoon". One last relaxing trip child-free! It was perfect and just what we needed!
Walking in Wailea

We spent 4 nights in Wailea (south island) at the Marriot. We mostly relaxed by the pool, got massages, ate and walked by the ocean. We did drive the Road to Hana. At the end of the road is a hike through a bamboo rainforest, several gorgeous waterfalls and some natural pools. Another fun activity was paddle boarding. It is something we've always wanted to try. It was awesome! A turtle swam with us for quite awhile.

The last 3 nights were at a condo in Kaanapali (north island). We snorkeled every day which was a blast. We also went back to our favorite restrautant, Kimo's and enjoyed fabulous food and a memorable sunset.

Our friend, Quinn, also hooked us up with a snorkel day tour to the island of Lanai. On the boat, we were surrounded by hundreds of Hawaiian spinner dolphins. It was one of the coolest animal encounters ever!
What a fabulous trip! It was everything we needed. We're returning with a renewed mindset and now the real baby countdown begins! 10 weeks to go!

  1. You look so freaking cute with your baby bump. Wish I could be there to rub the belly. I am sure that is exactly is what you want.
